Incredible space stone seems like it has a nebula trapped inside

This is just a stone. Not a photo of a stone with a Hubble Space Telescope image pasted over it. Not a hologram made inside some piece of glass. Not a portal to another dimension. Just a stone. It's like a some spacetime wizard captured a piece of the Universe and trapped it inside.

via AP

The stone is an opal. A "very fine American contraluz opal found" in Opal Butte, Oregon, according to Bonhams, the auction house that sold it last May for around $20,000. Their description says that the 4.6 x 4.4 x 1-centimeter gemstone is a "clear, transparent crystal body having a fine, firey play-of-color that is gem quality. The piece has a botryoidal jasper formation which forms a unique inclusion."

The young British (of Japanese descent), "Chino Otsuka" devised a unique method and distinct of its kind to go back in time, through the integration of her modern pictures with her childhood pictures, to show how different the time period between the them.

What was done in a series of images that she called it "Imagine Finding Me" is a unique artwork. The Photoshop was used to integrate images so that the merge process does not appear easily. And when we see the pictures, look like real to the extent that commentators on the pages of social networking have expressed their surprise and their belief that it pictures of her mother as she stands with her.

Incredible Personal armour - Bulletproof Vest

A bulletproof vest, ballistic vest or bullet-resistant vest is an item of personal armor that helps absorb the impact from firearm-fired projectiles and shrapnel from explosions, and is worn on the torso. Soft vests are made from many layers of woven or laminated fibers and can be capable of protecting the wearer from small-caliber handgun and shotgun projectiles, and small fragments from explosives such as hand grenades.

Metal or ceramic plates can be used with a soft vest, providing additional protection from rifle rounds, and metallic components or tightly woven fiber layers can give soft armor resistance to stab and slash attacks from knives and similar close-quarter weapons. Soft vests are commonly worn by police forces, private citizens, security guards, and bodyguards, whereas hard-plate reinforced vests are mainly worn by combat soldiers, police tactical units, and hostage rescue teams.

Modern body armor may combine a ballistic vest with other items of protective clothing, such as a combat helmet. Vests intended for police and military use may also include ballistic shoulder and side protection armor components, and bomb disposal officers wear heavy armor and helmets with face visors and spine protection. via

In case the video didn't play normally click here

You might imagine the inventor being someone from the Army or a policeman, but the true creator was a pizza delivery man! On July 21st, 1969, Richard Davis was delivering pizzas in Detroit when he was held up at gunpoint!

Luckily for the former marine, Davis had a gun of his own and shot two of the attackers but was hit twice himself. This incident gave him an idea for people like cops to avoid injury by wearing padding of some kind. The first prototype for the bulletproof vest was created by Davis out of a roll of nylon and the straps from his car’s seatbelt!

He went around to police stations shooting himself in the chest to demonstrate its power. Later, Davis created a second vest design using Kevlar, which is 230% stronger than nylon! via

Personal armour (also known as personal armor or body armour) is the whole of protecting clothing, designed to absorb and/or deflect slashing, bludgeoning, and penetrating attacks. They were historically used to protect soldiers, whereas today, they are also used to protect various types of police (especially riot police in particular), private citizens, private security guards or bodyguards. Two types exist: regular non-plated personal armor (used by the people mentioned above, except combat soldiers) and hard-plate reinforced personal armor, which is used by combat soldiers, police tactical units and hostage rescue teams.via

Super-Elastic and Flexible Statue Material

Super stretchy material stretches to eight times its size without ripping

The stretchy plastic material pictured is incredibly soft and stretches to about eight times its original size. It is a very durable material that stretches easily and can be injection molded to any shape. It is remarkable how easily you can double its size, and then double it again, and double it again and again without requiring much effort—and without ripping it.

There are two types of thermoplastics used as substitutes for rubber. These synthetic rubbers are what you are probably familiar with as the “gel” material used in a lot of computer mouse pads, seat cushions, and bicycle seats. These “gels” are typically made using materials based on Kraton or Septon, the trade names for two common formulations. Within the basic formulations, the stretchiness, softness, squishiness and strength can be customized for the application you need. What we are featuring here is a formulation that has a remarkable combination of being incredibly elastic and easy to stretch, yet very difficult to rip.

Now not to be left out, with a little help from a graphic artist and CGI, Chuck Norris can be seen in a spoof of the Volvo Jean Claude Van Damme commercial performing leg splits in the sky between two planes. Balanced on Norris' head is an acrobatic team and when fully stretched out they resemble a Christmas tree covered in fairy lights. Have you seen the shape of the smallest details of snowflakes

The Russian professional photographer Alexei Kgatov use his microscopic lenses to photograph snowflakes with high accuracy.

It's known that snowflakes are not similar at all, such as fingerprints, and they influenced by composition changes very minor degrees of air and moisture that pass by during a freeze in the fall trip to Earth.

A snowflake is either a single ice crystal or an aggregation of ice crystals which falls through the Earth's atmosphere. They begin as snow crystals which develop when microscopic supercooled cloud droplets freeze. Snowflakes come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Complex shapes emerge as the flake moves through differing temperature and humidity regimes, such that individual snowflakes are nearly unique in structure. Snowflakes encapsulated in rime form balls known as graupel. Snowflakes appear white in color despite being made of clear ice. This is due to diffuse reflection of the whole spectrum of light by the small crystal facets.

The Arab World Union by George Galloway

The Arab world, also known as the Arab Nation, consists of the Arabic-speaking countries and populations in the Greater Middle East.

The standard definition of the Arab world comprises the 22 countries and territories of the Arab League stretching from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Arabian Sea in the east, and from the Mediterranean Sea in the north to the Horn of Africa and the Indian Ocean in the southeast. It has a combined population of around 422 million people, with over half under 25 years of age.

http://oddfuttos.blogspot.com/2013/12/arab-world-union-is-dream-of-arabian.html

George Galloway is a British politician, writer, and broadcaster, and the Respect Party Member of Parliament for Bradford West.

Why this large world, which speak the same language, and believe in the same God and religion  ,  whereas in Euro they speak 150 languages, so why the Arab world doesn't have a union?

Economy

The mineral resource of greatest value is oil. The Arabian Peninsula has the largest oil reserves in the world. With the exception of deposits in Yemen, the Arabian oil fields lie in the same great sedimentary basin as the fields of Iran and Iraq. Although oil was discovered in Iran in 1908, the first field on the Arabian side of the basin, in Bahrain, was not found until 1932. This inspired an intensive search in eastern Arabia that in time reached far into the interior. Oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia in 1938, in Kuwait and Qatar in 1940, on the mainland of the Saudi Arabia/Kuwait Neutral Zone in 1953, on the mainland of Abu Dhabi in 1960, in Oman in 1964, in South Yemen in 1983, and in North Yemen in 1984. In 1951 oil was discovered in the Persian Gulf off Saudi Arabia, in 1958 in Abu Dhabi offshore, and in 1960 in the Saudi Arabia/Kuwait Neutral Zone offshor.

Back to The Future project to revive the old photos by Irina Werning

Argentine photogtrapher woman "Irina Werning" initiated her photographing project (BACK TO THE FUTURE) in early 2010, which is still going on so far.

Her project concluded in visiting people in their homes and choose old photos from their photos archives, whether from childhood images or images in young adulthood for the elderly and re-capture their owners in the same scene after being grown up. Next first image (CECILE) from France in 1987 and the other in 2010.

The photographers tend to define the photographic image as the moment in which the time stop to capture that moment by the camera lens but the point which is interesting in this project is to re-capture the moment after a long period of time to the same people and the same places to see how it changed people by the passage of time and the variation trends of the moments that captured them a long time ago.

Incredible Glacier Waterfalls in Svalbard, Norway

Svalbard, which means "cold coasts", is an archipelago in the Arctic, constituting the northernmost part of Norway as well as of Europe. It is located about 400 miles north of mainland Europe, midway between mainland Norway and the North Pole. Despite being so close to the North Pole, Svalbard is comparatively warm, thanks to the warming effect of the Gulf Stream, which makes it habitable. In fact, Svalbard is the northernmost permanently inhabited region on the planet.

The islands cover a total area of 62,050 square km, nearly 60% of which is covered by glacier with many outlet glaciers terminating in the sea. Some of these glaciers have small waterfalls formed from melting snow and ice. Most of Svalbard is barren rock but during the short summer, the melting snow in the milder parts of the islands give place to vast stretches of tundra vegetation, sometimes dotted with delicate flowers.
