Lifelike Paintings of Swimmers by Gustavo Silva Nuñez

Before you dive in... Painter poses with his lifelike portraits of swimmers giving the illusion that he is about to jump in too.

An artist has brought his paintings of swimmers to life by posing with them playfully, giving the illusion that he is about to dive into the water.Gustavo Silva Nuñez, an artist based in Valencia, Venezuela, creates incredibly lifelike paintings of people swimming in water, his use of light and reflections making them appear three-dimensional.To add to the realism, he poses next to the paintings in strikingly interactive ways, making it look as though he is grabbing onto the swimmers' limbs or shielding himself from their splashes.

In one of the shots, Mr Nuñez is pictured crouching on the floor next to one of his paintings, staring into the water as though he is about to jump in. At first glance, it looks like a picture of a woman coming up for air in a small indoor pool.

Another photo sees the artist painting tattoos onto the arm of a man he is painting. He pretends to hold onto the man's other arm, so that the line between art and reality becomes ever more blurred. In the images, Mr Nuñez, who has more than 62,000 followers on Instagram, looks as though he is right there with his subjects

Incredible Illusionist 3D Sand Art

This is a kind of a new art that’s spreading slowly lately, it’s the sand art, not sand sculpture art, but sand 3D drawings which vanish in the same day they are created in, but still a joy for the artist and the people who watch it till the sunsets down by the end of the day, so he photographs them after they are finished, not to be done in vain, specially that they are perfectly done.

Jamie Harkins is a creative artist and also a musician from New Zealand, and he is the one who came with all these ideas, helped him making them are other artists such as; David Rendu, Constanza Nightingale and Lucia Lupf, but their kind of work looks like a 3D art, but it’s actually a 2D art which is done by a way that looks like a 3D art, and it’s called “anamorphous” art, where artists draws it to looks like a 3D art from one angle and from a far distance, but from any other angle, it doesn’t appear to be anything at all, he strengthen his art by adding the members of his team interacting with the drawing as a part of it, so that it looks more real to viewers. He says about his sand art: “We’ve seen other people doing stuff on beaches, but it’s always been geometric, flat shapes, like a pattern, so we thought we’d get into the whole 3D thing. And I kind of like the fact that it disappears at the end of the day when the tide comes in. It makes it impermanent.”

Breathtaking White Ink Tattoos

White ink tattoos bring take tattoos to a whole new level. By using thickened white paint, you can have a piece of art that's elegant or can glow in the dark.
They aren't for everyone, though. Some skin tones don't work well with it or the intended design turns out poorly. But, if done correctly, white ink tattoos are pretty cool.

The Future of Holographic Technology

From Cave 2 to Hologram Tupac, 3D displays and holography are changing the way we experience our world. And as we move toward new and improved ways to interact with 3D, how will these new technologies change our daily life? What are the implications on "real" human interaction in the future?

what exactly is a hologram anyway? When you take a picture with a normal camera, you're really just recording a single splash of light across a two-dimensional surface, like film. But a holographic camera, well that uses a laser beam splitter to split into two beams of light. You've got one that's just a clean reference signal, and another one that you've run over a three dimensional object. So you can measure all those nooks and crannies and create a light map of that object.

So could we ever get to that free standing hologram? Well one way we might try is by using a lot of different projectors to project light into a cloud of fog. Now the fog would actually act as a three-dimensional movie screen, and particles within the fog would actually reflect the light back to us. Maybe we're even going to come up with technologies we can't even dream of right now to make holograms possible.

Incredible BMW X5 3D Laser Mapping Show

The BMW X5 is a midsize luxury SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) produced by BMW.

The first generation of the X5, with the chassis code E53, made its debut in 1999. It was BMW's first SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle), also known as "Four-by-Four" (4x4) in the UK, which featured 4WDall-wheel drive and was available with either manual or automatic transmission.

In 2006 the second generation X5 was launched, known internally as the E70, featuring the torque-split capable xDrive all-wheel drive system mated to an automatic transmission, and in 2009 the X5 M performance variant was released as a 2010 model.

3D Laser Mapping is a world-leading integrator of laser scanning technology for the mining, mapping and modelling industries.

All engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Its behavior—as well as that of the chassis—is governed by a number of settings bracketed by the efficiency-loving "Eco Pro" and aggressive “Sport+” modes. The former can decouple the driveline when the driver lifts off the accelerator without hitting the brakes, as well as tailor the climate control and heated seats for maximum energy savings. Sport+ heightens shift and throttle response, firms up the optional adjustable suspension, and remaps the steering. There are also Normal and Sport modes.

The new X5, which BMW insists on calling a "Sports Activity Vehicle," hits U.S. showrooms in the fourth quarter of 2013. The diesel version follows in early 2014, and there will be M Performance and M versions down the road. Pricing has not yet been announced, but we suspect it won't stray far from the current X5’s. Competition includes the Audi Q7, the Cadillac SRX, the Lexus RX, and the Mercedes-Benz M-class.
