Lifelike Paintings of Swimmers by Gustavo Silva Nuñez

Before you dive in... Painter poses with his lifelike portraits of swimmers giving the illusion that he is about to jump in too.

An artist has brought his paintings of swimmers to life by posing with them playfully, giving the illusion that he is about to dive into the water.Gustavo Silva Nuñez, an artist based in Valencia, Venezuela, creates incredibly lifelike paintings of people swimming in water, his use of light and reflections making them appear three-dimensional.To add to the realism, he poses next to the paintings in strikingly interactive ways, making it look as though he is grabbing onto the swimmers' limbs or shielding himself from their splashes.

In one of the shots, Mr Nuñez is pictured crouching on the floor next to one of his paintings, staring into the water as though he is about to jump in. At first glance, it looks like a picture of a woman coming up for air in a small indoor pool.

Another photo sees the artist painting tattoos onto the arm of a man he is painting. He pretends to hold onto the man's other arm, so that the line between art and reality becomes ever more blurred. In the images, Mr Nuñez, who has more than 62,000 followers on Instagram, looks as though he is right there with his subjects

Buffalo Bodypainting Competition in China

Artists from eight countries gathered in Jiangcheng county in China on May 18 to take part in an international buffalo bodypainting competition. The city of Pu’er has held cattle bodypainting competition for the last three years, and this year’s competition coincides with the 60th anniversary of the founding of Jiangcheng County.
A total of 48 water buffalos were covered in brightly colored body paint. Every cow was painted by a group consisting of 3 to 7 artists from United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Finland, New Zealand, Vietnam, Laos and China. A prize money of 100,000 yuan ($16,042) was on offer for the most beautifully decorated bovine. This year, the first pace was won by a team of local schoolchildren.

Painting on the buffalos is an ancient custom in Jiancheng derived from a legend, according to which a group of water buffaloes were once attacked by a large tiger when they were taken to the fields to graze. The tiger caught one unfortunate buffalo and as the two creatures struggled around on the field, mud and blood covered the buffalo's body. The bull looked so terrifying that the tiger got scared and ran away. After that locals started painting on their cattle to keep the predators away. The tradition later developed into a popular festival held each year to celebrate harvest and honor the cattle.

Transformation of Women Using Makeup

Cosmetics which are known as makeup or make-upare care substances used to enhance the appearance or odor of the human body. They are generally mixtures of chemical compounds, some being derived from natural sources, many being synthetic.

Here is a list of women transformation from the original face appearance to masked one.

No Filter

Every woman wants to look flawless. For those of us who didn't hit the genetic lottery for today's beauty standards, contouring could change everything!

 Night and Day

You could not convince most people that this is the same person! With the colorful contacts, she looks like she's barely even related to the woman underneath all of that makeup!

Red Lip

Red lipstick is a quick way to transform any look. In this case, it's one of the last things you notice because the rest of the makeup has had such a dramatic effect.

Nature to Glam

This woman is a natural beauty with a lot of the simple beauty issues a lot of woman have. The glam eye is a bit too much but we definitely wouldn't think this was the same person.

Baby Blues

In the first photo she looks like she could be a pretty teenager. In the final photo she looks much more mature and put together but that's got to be a lot of makeup to hide those freckles so well!

Bold and Beautiful

The girl in the top photo, though gorgeous, looks like she would be intimidated by the girl in the final result. She went from pretty woman to model status with a few simple brush strokes!

10 Pounds Lighter

This woman seems to have lost 10 pounds right before our eyes. She looked gorgeous before the contouring but after she looks thinner and even a bit younger.

Flawless Skin

If it weren't for those gorgeous brown eyes, we'd never know this was the same person! She looks like a movie star after but it probably helps that this girl already had gorgeous skin to begin with.

Bat the Lashes

Similar to Kim K's signature contouring look, this dark haired beauty looks even more glamorous. Those bold lashes might be a little too much for everyday wear but the rest looks great!
