Photos: Dust storm hit Dubai and lack of vision on the Emirates Road

Some areas in Dubai faces, this afternoon, strong dusty winds led to low visibility to  very low rates, especially on the Emirates Road. The low visibility caused by dirty wind led to confuse drivers on Emirates Road in Dubai, prompting them to stop beside the road waiting to get better vision. Dubai police demanded drivers need to take caution and care while driving and because of the lack of vision in the area of Bur Dubai, Al Barsha and Jebel Ali as a result of the volatility of the weather.

As seen in Fujairah areas torrential rains, caused according to preliminary information flow in the valleys and some buildings damaged. The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology predicted that the weather will be, today, sometimes dusty and partly cloudy in general, but shall be moderate winds, active sometimes causing dust and dirt, and lead to low visibility.

About Dust Storm

A dust storm or sand storm is a meteorological phenomenon common in arid and semi-arid regions. Dust storms arise when a gust front or other strong wind blows loose sand and dirt from a dry surface. Particles are transported by saltation and suspension, a process that moves soil from one place and deposits it in another. via
