Once upon time, Photos of Afghanistan in 1950s and 1960s

Can you believe that Afghanistan was a developed civil state in the era of the fifties and sixties of the last century!

They have had at that time, schools, universities, factories, radio and television stations and advanced hospitals. Not only that, but they have freedom of dress and mixing between men and women.

State of Afghanistan has built a dam water is probably the Kajaki dam, which was built in 1953 in the Helmand region (southern Afghanistan) at the hands of engineers and experts and U.S. companies left the area after the Soviet invasion.

One of the Afghan universities with a group of male and female students, it is very much like the University of Cairo in the late sixties.

Other images: a five-star hotel, a popular market presents tremendous amounts of fruits and vegetables (I doubt they are available these days in this exuberance with the Afghan human transformation either to bear arms or to search for a job). There are cafes along the lines of the Champs Elysees and cafes Saint-Michel in Paris these days. Fashion Boutique Latest Fashion. Telephone communications center. (More than is found in many Arab countries in that period, but maybe even in the present day). Perhaps the studio to broadcast television programs. Did not know the UAE broadcast only in the seventies.

One image was enough to explain what has been written here. the  painful is to turn a civilized country in the fifties to the world's most desolate at the end of the first decade of the twenty-first century.

From the inside of one of the manufacturers and the other machines and fabric that seems to spread in Afghanistan in those years.
